We offer a variety of services, both online and in-person, to assist you in your job search. Please drop by or call. If schedules do not permit an appointment, a career counselor can arrange an alternative option.
Individual Career Counseling
We provide individual career and job-search counseling appointments including resume critiques and mock interviews. Walk-ins for short visits on first-come, first-served basis.
CareerLink Resume Database
Subscribers to CareerLink can view job listings online, post resumes, participate in on-campus interviewing and the Alumni Career Network. Read more.
Co-op
The Co-op Program is available for students wanting job experience in their major field while receiving academic credit. Read more.
Workshops
Career Exploration Workshop uses in-depth tools and discussion for those deciding on a career.
Career Workshops on resume writing, interviewing skills and job search techniques are offered intermittently.
On-Campus RecruitingCompany representatives interview for jobs during fall and spring semesters on campus. Pre-selection deadline dates are usually within the first few weeks of each semester. Applicants must first subscribe to CareerLink and upload their resume in order to participate.
Job Fairs & Events
UHCL's Gulf Coast Job Fair is offered in the fall and the Teacher Job Fairs are in the fall and spring. During Career Week, you can attend workshops, presentations, resume reviews and mock interviewing sessions. Read more.
