Recognition & Thanks

Contributions to UH are essential. They have a direct and immediate positive impact on the university and fund a level of excellence not supported through state assistance. Each gift is deeply appreciated, no matter the size, no matter what college or university program is supported

Individuals who support UH with an annual contribution of $500 or more are recognized as leadership level donors. Leadership level donors enjoy the following benefits:

• Satisfaction of personally impacting the University’s future.
• Increased influence in UH’s ongoing development as a leading force in higher education.
• Counted among those alumni that set the standard for giving
• Receive invitations to special events or special discount offers
• Receive communication about the difference their gift makes at UH
• Gain membership in college-based recognition societies

In addition, there are specific recognition groups:
Consistent Donors—Alumni that have given an annual gift every year for 5 years in a row or more, are especially appreciated for their loyalty to UH. The Cougar Executives Organization (CEO) is comprised of alumni and friends who are business owners and executives of non-publicly traded companies. CEO membership is an opportunity to meet and network with other successful and distinguished business owners in the area. Alumni that make an annual gift of $500 or more per year are eligible for membership. As with all annual support, gifts may be designated to any college, department or university-wide program including the M.D. Anderson Library, the Presidents Excellence Fund and the M.D. Anderson Library. The 1927 Society recognizes alumni and other individuals who have included the University of Houston in their estate plans through planned giving. For more information contact the Office of Planned Giving, 713-743-8851.
