The Quick Reference Guide to Registration can be found in the Dean of Students Office, Student Assistance Center, and most offices on campus.
The university has partnered with Higher One to process all student refund transactions. Upon registration at UHCL you will receive in the mail a UHCL OneCard/MasterCard from Higher One. Students will use the OneCard to choose one of three refund delivery methods: Easy Refund (direct deposit to a new free checking account and debit card), an electronic transfer to an existing bank account, or a paper check. The UHCL OneCard will soon become the official UHCL ID card and can currently be used on campus at the bookstore or at the Cashier’s Office to pay your college tuition and fees. Each student will receive a UHCL OneCard, which will be mailed directly to the student’s mailing address on file with the university. For questions and information about the UHCL OneCard, visit www.UHCLOneCard.com or contact the Student Assistance Center.
Pay for parking through E-Services online, E-Services Phone (281-212-UHCL), or in person at the Cashier’s Office (SSCB 1103) and UHCL Police Department (B1636). Once payment is made, bring license/photo ID and pick up your permit at the UHCL Police Department.
New Students: Present your paid fee statement to the Student Life Office (SSCB 1204) to get your student ID card.
Returning Students: Get your student ID card validated at the beginning of each semester. Present your paid fee statement to the Student Life Office, Student Assistance Center, or the Cashier’s Office.
The Candidate Plan of Study (CPS) outlines the coursework necessary for students to complete a desired degree at UHCL. All degree-seeking students must have a CPS on file in their school. Development of the CPS begins in the first semester after enrolling in classes. Students should contact the advising office for their school during their first semester of enrollment for detailed CPS information.
The Health Center offers student health insurance to all currently enrolled students. International students are required to have health insurance and its charge is automatically added to the fee statement. International students may have this insurance waived if appropriate documentation has been provided to the Office of Admissions.
Students are assessed tuition according to residence classification and the number of semester credit hours for which they register. The Schedule of Charges and Special Fees can be found in the UHCL Catalog and online at www.uhcl.edu/records > Tuition & Fees.
