The Doctor of Education (EdD) in Educational Leadership prepares graduate students to become leaders in educational organizations. Admissions consideration will primarily focus on individuals having strong background or interest in addressing Early Childhood to 12th grade education, with a preference for applicants holding teacher/principal certificates. Doctoral applications for admission to a new EdD Cohort will be considered as they arrive. For a fall semester cohort start date, March 15th is the last day for accepting completed applications. If March 15th falls on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday; then, applications are due by the following Monday.

The program gives education professionals advanced preparation in educational leadership. The plan’s benchmarks embrace nationally recognized standards. The National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) has awarded the SOE its national accreditation.
