Distance Education: The E. B. Cape CenterWho better to train local law enforcement professionals than a local school?
The University of Houston-Clear Lake has been a part of the Houston community for thirty years. We care about the city and we care about law enforcement professionals. Our collaboration with the Houston Police Officers’ Union’s Education Department provides an opportunity for you to complete a bachelor’s or master’s degree as a non-traditional student in a non-traditional setting. UHCL understands the demands of your job and family. You will attend classes one night a week with other adults working in law enforcement. Classes are offered both on campus and at the City of Houston’s E.B. Cape Center.
You can count on the integrity of UHCL when you choose to complete your degree with us. UHCL is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. You will graduate with the right skills and understanding to succeed.
Master of Arts in Criminology
The academic goal of this plan is to provide you with a comprehensive, in-depth understanding of crime: why it occurs, how it is measured and how it might be controlled. An additional goal is to help you develop the skills needed to pursue a successful career within the criminal justice system or advance in your current profession.
Your time is valuable. UHCL’s Distance Education staff respects your schedule. Our promise is to treat you as an adult and to make your application and enrollment process as stress-free as possible.
