Appointments

Please review our policies before making an appointment or visiting the Writing Center.

Select which appointment type you prefer:

A face-to-face appointment

An e-mail, phone, or online chat appointment

Students are normally allowed two tutoring sessions per week, but no more than one per day. Second sessions must be scheduled by a receptionist. Additional appointments may be made with approval of the Director.

Please use your UHCL email address when registering in the system to help us ensure that you are enrolled as a UHCL student.  Additional registrations under other email addresses will be deleted.

Things to Know Before You Come:

• Conferences are scheduled on the hour and last 45 minutes.
• Tutors cannot make exceptions to this policy by extending your session time or granting another session that day.
• If you arrive more than ten minutes late, you may forfeit your appointment.
• Bring your assignment sheet and specific questions if you have them, along with any work you've already begun.
• You may also come just to brainstorm or discuss ideas!
