Have you ever wondered what happens to the classrooms during the semester breaks?
UCT Support Center staff checks and tests all equipment in every general purpose classroom or TEC (Technology Enhanced Classroom). TEC upgrades and improvements are also planned during this time. UCT re-images computers, cleans and tests equipment, checks house phones, and checks and provides documentation/instructions for each and every room. We contract vendors to update as many classrooms as possible during each semester break. UCT Support Center staff does this every semester break to ensure consistent, reliable, and user friendly classroom technologies.
This semester break we completed the updating of classrooms B1104, B2233, B2235, and B2237. The upgrades included new brighter projectors, digital document cameras, and touch panel control system with audio system. These systems will provide better reliability and support features. The systems are ready to go and easy to use and can be controlled remotely to help you on a moment's notice. Instructions on the use of TEC rooms are posted in each and every room.
If you have questions about software installation, use of the TEC rooms, or any other IT issue, please feel free to contact the Support Center at x2828, office campus dial 281-283-2828, or email us supportcenter@uhcl.edu.
