Registration was followed by a short course on Nanotoxicology with introductions given by
Louis Brzuzy (President - SETAC South Central Region). An informal social took place at the Starfire Grill.

A continental breakfast was served as posters were set up by students and other presenters. Welcome

SETAC-SC Regional Chapter Business Meeting and Student Chapters meeting followed platform session II. After
lunch. posters were judged. Greetings from SETAC-NA and Board of Directors were given to attendees, after

The conference concluded with a Texas Barbeque Social at Armand Bayou Nature Center.

The UHCL student chapter of SETAC is open to all UHCL students enrolled in the biology, chemistry, or environmental science programs at the graduate or undergraduate level who are pursuing careers in the fields of environmental toxicology and/or environmental chemistry.
Meetings are held bi-monthly in the 3rd floor conference room (Bayou Building). Tuesday or Thursday are the preferential meeting days at 4:30 pm. Membership dues are paid annually.
UHCL Student Chapter members are encouraged to be student members in the Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry as well as student members of the South Central Regional SETAC.
The 2008 North American SETAC Conference will be November 16-20 in Tampa, Florida. UHCL students will present their research at this event.
