Student Organizations
The School of Education and its faculty sponsor many student organizations. These organizations actively involve students in their chosen career field. Please contact the sponsors listed below for more information on these organizations.
TSTA-SPThe Texas State Teachers Association-Student Program is for all students pursuing a career in education. It is one of the oldest, most respected teacher associations. It is affiliated with Texas State Teachers Assn (TSTA) and the National Education Assn (NEA). As a member you gain access to their associations’ vast resources which help you move from student to professional educator.
The bulletin board by the Student Information Desk lists meeting times and dates; their monthly newsletter, Chalkline also publishes that information. You can register online at www.nea.org/student-program.
