School Library and Information Science MS
with School Librarian Standard Certification (EC-12)

The graduate plan in School Library and Information Science leads to the master of science degree. Students completing this degree plan may also be eligible for certification as school librarians. Students seeking this certification must hold a valid Texas teaching certificate and must be able to verify a minimum of two years successful full-time classroom teaching experience in an approved accredited school. A passing score on the School Librarian state assessment is required prior to recommendation for this certificate. The plan consists of 39-40 semester hours.
