The faculty advisor counsels students regarding:

• Choosing elective courses at UHCL (see BS curriculum and MS curriculum)
• Setting up their Candidate Plan of Studies (CPS)
• Changing their CPS

Students can also seek advice from faculty advisors on their study plans, course schedules, career objectives, and preparation. The letter of acceptance may convey your assigned faculty advisor. If not, please contact the academic advisors. E-mail the faculty advisor to set up an appointment.

It is very important for incoming students to consult with their faculty and academic advisors as soon as possible to set up their CPS in the first semester.
