The University Life Committee (ULC) shall consider all matters relating to personnel and to student life in the university community. ULC will make recommendations on these matters to the University Council. Specifically, the responsibilities of the ULC are as listed below:
· University-wide policies (such as smoking, sexual harassment, etc.)
· Student policies
· Safety, health and quality of life issues
The chair for ULC may be from any constituent group except students
Voting Members of the committee shall be:
A representative elected from the Library
A graduate student
An undergraduate student
A representative from the Support Staff Association (SSA)
A representative from the Professional and Administrative Staff Association (PASA)
A representative of the Office of the Vice President for Administration and Finance
A representative of the Office of the President
A representative of the Office of the Associate Vice President for Student Services
A representative of the Alumni Board
One representative elected from the tenure-track faculty of each school
Meetings are held once per month, currently the third Friday of the month.
The Secretariat for the committee is provided by the Office of the Vice President for Administration and Finance
