Renewal Policies   
Library materials may be renewed either at the Circulation Desk or online through the Library Catalog. All library materials are subject to recall after three weeks, regardless of the original or renewed due date. Materials may be recalled when another library borrower places a hold on any item that is either overdue or on an extended or renewed borrowing period. If your material is recalled, Circulation staff will send you a notice, which may indicate a revised due date.    
Overdue or recall notices are sent to your campus email address (UHCL students, faculty, and staff) or to the email account in your library patron record (JSC, community borrowers). Materials must be returned or renewed on time whether or not notices are received. Notify us if your email or mailing address changes.

Recalled items which are not returned by the due date (or revised due date) are subject to overdue fines.
