Anthropology fosters analytical reading, critical thinking, strong oral and written communication skills, an understanding of diverse cultures, and an appreciation of the value of diversity.  Anthropology majors may use these skills in a variety of fields from business to government service to non-governmental organizations.  Graduates of the program have gone on to diverse careers in law, education, and social services. The program serves as an excellent background for students who wish to enter the MA Program in Cross-Cultural Studies at UHCL or other programs emphasizing cultural diversity.
