M.A. and Ph.D. in Anthropology, and Doctoral Portfolio in Cultural Studies, The University of Texas at Austin

Research interests include religious and social movements in the Middle East and North Africa, women's studies, interfaith initiatives and civil society, Turkish American communities in the U.S., performance and media studies, and popular culture.
