Why does UHCL have an EAP?
We value you as an employee and we understand it can be difficult to balance your personal life with your work life. An EAP is one way we can help you achieve balance and success.
Who can use this program?
The employee and all eligible dependants.
Are services confidential?
All calls and visits to EAP are confidential as defined by law. Information about you or the issues shared will not be disclosed to UHCL or other persons without your written permission.
Who will be assisting me?
All therapists are experienced master’s or Ph.D. level clinicians.
How much does it cost to use?
EAP is free. How? UHCL pays for this service for your benefit.
Where do I go for an appointment?
In addition to the main office located in the Texas Medical Center, you have the choice of other locations in your area. You can request a location by your work, child’s school or residence.
Can I call EAP for non-crisis concerns?
Absolutely. Any concern that troubles you can be brought to EAP. You can call when you need a new perspective on things or you need help identifying available options or you simply need to blow off steam. The key is to reach out for assistance by simply calling.
How do I contact EAP?
Day and evening appointments are available, with offices located nationwide for your convenience. Support is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for emergencies.
