Wish Tree Program
Open to All.
The Intercultural & International Student Services (IISS) Office in correlation with the Salvation Army will be sponsoring the Wish Tree Program on the UHCL Campus. Stop by the IISS Office starting November 9th to pick-up a wish list of a disadvantaged child or senior citizen. Gifts need to be brought back to the IISS Office by December 2nd. Celebrate this season of giving by participating in the Wish Tree Program!

French director Laurent Cantet's THE CLASS is an absorbing journey into a multicultural high school in Paris over the course of a school year. François Begaudeau--an actual teacher and the author upon whose work the film was based--is utterly convincing as François, an openminded teacher in charge of a classroom of youngsters from a wide variety of backgrounds.

World AIDS Day Art Contest

World AIDS Day Art Contest
All day, Level II Atrium II Bayou Building
Free. Open to All.
Preregistration: We are limited by space to 20 pieces - please reserve your space with Julie Smith
Submissions due by Monday, November 23
The theme for the contest is "Universal Access and Human Rights". Art must be 2 dimensional and equipped for hanging; dimensions not to exceed 20' x 24' (including framing). The purpose of World AIDS Day is to raise money, increase awareness, fight prejudice, and improve education. Awareness is cruicial to the fight against this disease and this contest was created to raise awareness on campus.
