Delta Epsilon Chapter of Alpha Delta Kappa

AES Engineers Scholarship
Award: $500
Deadline:  September 15, 2008
Application and Information: To be eligible the student needs to answer one of the essay questions on the website at www.aesengineers.com/scholarships.htm.
The consulting firm of AES Engineers is committed to continuing its support of higher education by providing scholarships to deserving students. Our belief is that achieving a high grade point average should not be the only criteria for determining who deserves to be helped. For that reason we are offering a scholarship that will be awarded on the basis of character, as determined by evaluating the essays that are submitted.

Sallie Mae Fund Scholarship Programs Academic Year 2008-2009

Addressing financial need through scholarships is a key priority of The Sallie Mae Fund. Additionally, The Sallie Mae Fund awards $250 to $1,000 scholarships to future college students at each of its free, nationwide “Paying for College” workshops.

Sallie Mae Fund Scholarship: The Sallie Mae 911 Education Fund
Awards: up to $2,500 per applicant, per school year, are available and may be renewed on an annual basis, subject to satisfactory academic progress.

The Sallie Mae 911 Education Fund was created in response to the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001. The scholarship program is open to children of those who were killed or permanently disabled as a result of the terrorist attacks, and who are enrolled as full-time undergraduate students at approved, accredited institutions.

Scholarships for children of current or former United States Marines and a few for children of Navy Corpsmen who serve or have served with Marines.

HACU-Laureate International Scholarship Program
Awards: Multiple scholarships per HACU institution

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) and Laureate have established one of the largest international scholarship programs encouraging US Hispanic students to participate in study abroad programs. Study abroad tuition scholarships are available to more than 20 campus locations within the Laureate International University network including: Spain, France, Switzerland, Costa Rica, Honduras, Chile, Panama, Peru, Ecuador and Mexico. Eligible students have a GPA of 2.7 or better. While the program provides generous tuition scholarships to participants, many students still need additional financial assistance, so please be aware that financial aid can be used to study abroad!

F. Edward Herbert Armed Forces Health Professions Scholarship Program (HPSP)
Awarding up to 100% of tuition, fees and books plus a $1,279 monthly stipend for ten and one half months of each school year.
