National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship Program
Since 1952, the National Science Foundation (NSF) Graduate Research Fellowship Program has recognized and supported future leaders in the science, technology, engineering, and mathematics fields. Each year, NSF awards over 1,000 fellowships to outstanding students in these fields.
Award: 3 years of fincancial support including: $30,000 annual stipend, $10,500 annual cost-of-education allowance and $1,000 one-time foreign travel allowance.

Requirements include:

• Must be a U.S citizen, national or premanent resident alien
• Must be at or near the beginning of graduate studies in an NSF-supported field (chemistry, computer and information science and engineering, engineering, geosciences, interdisciplinary, life sciences, mathematical sciences, physics and astronomy, psychology and social sciences)

The Ann Rogers Scholarship
The Ann Rogers Scholarship was created to provide financial assistance to student teachers doing their student teaching internship in social studies in the state of Texas.
Award: $1,000

Requirements include:

• Must be a student teacher doing their student teaching in the state of Texas. 

Foreclosure.com Scholarship  Program
Foreclosure.com is looking for the most creative ideas on how to solve the current forclosure crisis. All college student students and incoming freshmen are invited to apply by submitting an original essay. This years topic is "How to solve the forclosure crisis."
Awards: $5,000 (first place)
Deadline: December 31, 2009

Requirements include:

• Essay of a minimum length of 1,000 words or a maximum of 2,500 words.
• Must be a legal resident of the fifty United States or the District of Columbia.
• Must be currently admitted or enrolled in an accredited, post-secondary institution of higher education (college, universtiy, law school, or trade school)

Humane Studies Fellowships
Each year, Humane Studies Fellowhips of up to $12,000 are awarded to outstanding undergraduate and graduate students exploring the principles underlying a free society.

Requirements include:

• Must be enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited degree-granting institution
• Must be an undergradute who will be a junior or senior during the academic year of funding or a graduate student in any field and at any stage before complettion of the Ph.D
  

2010 Talbots Scholarship Foundation
In keeping with its long-standing tradition of helping women succeed, the Talbots Charitable Foundation is proud to present the 2010 Talbots Scholarship Foundation and the inaugural Nancy Talbot Scholarship Award for perseverance and ingenuity, which is presented in memory of the founder of Talbots. This program empowers women to enrich themselves through learning and achieve a college education later in life. Only the first 5,000 eligible applications submitted will be processed.
Award: $15,000 or $30,000

Requirements include:

• Must be woman residing in the United States or Canada
• Must be a woman who earned a high school diploma or their GED on or before Septermber 2000
• Must be enrolled or planning to enroll in a full- or part-time undergraduate course of study at an accredited two-, three- or four-year college, uiversity or vacational technical school in the United States or Canada
• Must be attending the full 2010-11 academic year and receiving a degreee no earlier than May 2011
• Must have at least two semesters (24 credit hours or more) remaining to complete an undergraduate degree as of the beginning  of the 2010 fall academic term.
  

The Elie Wiesel Prize In Ethics
The essay contest for the Elie Wiesel Prize In Ethics is designed to challenge college students to analyze the urgent ethical issues confronting them in today's complex world. Students are encouraged to write thought-provoking personal essays that raise questions, single out issues and are rational arguments for ethical action.

• Must be a registered full time junior or senior at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States during the fall 2009 semester.
  
  

Florence Terry Griswald Scholarship I
The Florence Terry Griswald Scholarship I assists a female student from one of the Pan American Countries (other thatn the United States) in pursing her studies in the state of Texas.
Award: $2,500
Deadline: January 29, 2010

Requirements include:

• Must maintain a GPA of a 3.0 and submit verification of each term's grades.
• Must be a female student.
• Must be a native student of one of the Pan American countries.
• Must hold a bachelor's or equivalent degree, and working toward master's degree or equivalent degree at a state-supported college or university in Texas.

Florence Terry Griswold Scholarship II
The Florence Terry Griswald Scholarship II is an award to assists a female student or faculty member from Texas in pursing her studies in another Pan American country.
Award: $2,000
Deadline: January 29, 2010

Requirements include:

• Must be a female who is a native citizen of the United States of America and a legal resident of the state of Texas.
• Must hold a bachelor's degree or equivalent degree or be a college professor engaged in specialized study of any of the languages or cultures of the Pan American countries.
• Must demonstrate her ability to put the results of her study in a Pan American country to use upon her return to Texas.

U.S. Bank Internet Scholarship Program
The U.S. Bank been offering their scholarship program for the past thirteen years to help students fund their education. This year, U.S. Bank continues the tradition through their Internet Scholarship Program, awarding up to forty $1,000 scholarships- 10 more than last year! Winners will be selected randomely.

BigSun Scholarship...2010
The BigSun Organization is proud to be able to help young athletes succee in their academic pursuits. In order to do our part we are offering an annual scholarship to a deserving student. All studetn athletes are eligible for this award, regardless of which sport they are participating in.
Award: $500

The Garden Club of America
The Garden Club of America offers scholarships and fellowships for the following studies: landscape architecture, horticulture, medicinal botony, ecological restoration, coastal wetlands, garden history and design, tropical botony, endangered bird habitat, field botany, urban forestry, desert studies, environmental studies and much more.

Interfaith Caring Ministries
Providing daycare funding for single parent students residing in the Clear Creek or Dickinson Independent School District.
Award: $100-$200/month
Requirements include:

• Transcripts/GPA minimum of 2.0
• School schedule
• Financial Aid documents
• Proof of custody
• Proof of income
• Proof of resisdence
• Photo ID
• Social Security card (copies) for self and child
