Distance Education: Orientation InfoOrientation Information for Online and Web-Enhanced Classes
If you have registered for an online or web-enhanced class, you are responsible for familiarizing yourself with the learning platform functions.
Never taken an online class? Here are two helpful resources for students who will be completing some course work online!
The Online Orientation introduces students to the online class environment. You will need approximately 20 minutes to work through the orientation.
Online OrientationThe WebCT tutorial introduces students to the Online Course Management System UHCL uses, WebCT. You will need approximately 30 minutes to complete the tutorial.
WebCT TutorialWhat are Web-Enhanced Classes? These are face-to-face classes that may have between one and seven meetings replaced with web activities. Students are advised to participate in the Online Orientation to familiarize themselves with the learning platform functions.
Some faculty teaching online courses require students to participate in a face-to-face orientation held on the UHCL campus. Those classes which will be requiring face-to-face orientations are displayed below. If your class is NOT listed, please complete the online orientation available for all students.
