Healthcare Administration
I'm going to take the entire program experience with me. It's the foundation to success in the U.S. healthcare system."
Recognizing the growing need for qualified healthcare administrators, our programs offer both graduate and undergraduate curricula through classes offered at the Texas Medical Center—the largest center of healthcare delivery and research in the world.
Our programs lead to:
Our graduate program is one of only 72 schools in the U.S. accredited by the Commission on Accreditation Healthcare Management Education (CAHME), an organization devoted to accountability and quality improvement in the education of healthcare professionals. We are one of only two CAHME accredited MHA/MBA programs in Texas.
Career opportunities in healthcare management continue to grow and the U.S. Department of labor projects a 16% increase in the industry from 2006-2016. Our program prepares our well-qualified, motivated graduates to fill such management positions, and many of our alums now serve prestigious institutions such as Memorial-Hermann Healthcare System, M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, St. Luke’s Episcopal Hospital of Houston, Texas Children’s Hospital, and many others throughout the U.S.
Our Healthcare Students Association is a student-run, faculty-advised organization that takes pride in actively encouraging members to increase their professional, technical, and social skills, all necessary for successful leadership in the healthcare industry.
Application Procedure:
In addition to a GMAT report and GPA transcript, admission to the MHA program requires all applicants to submit: 1) a resume, 2) three letters of recommendation, 3) a writing sample, and 4) a statement of career goals by the published application deadline. Only completed applications can be considered. All materials should be sent to:
