Our faculty brings real-world business case studies to life
We believe that a good education is built on the foundation of a strong faculty. We find our strengths in well-educated professors who are active professionals and interested in providing the best learning experiences for our students.
In our thirty-plus years, we have continued to recruit the most capable teachers. Some have been with our university since the early days, some joined our ranks later, and some are 21st century graduates. None of our classes are taught by graduate assistants.
Our faculty members consult, serve on boards, involve themselves in the community, continue to have active professional roles in their respective fields, publish, and do research in accordance with AACSB standards. They all bring unique perspectives, professional expertise, cultural diversity, and a wealth of experience to the classroom.
Faculty members’ publications and presentations cover a wide range of subjects such as:
• Corporate outsourcing
• offshoring / nearshoring
• job exportation
• recognizing firms in distress
• evaluation of accounting software
• Six Sigma methodology
• business ethics
• environmental regulations
• healthcare management
• stock and market valuation
• terrorism insurance legislation
• Euro zone stock markets
• performance and efficiency in the USSR
• relationships between Asian markets and the U.S. money supply
Our faculty members explore and introduce new ideas in the world of business education to fine-tune a constantly evolving process and to improve teaching and learning methodology. Some recent topics for research and presentation include:
·
• learning retention in online vs. face-to-face environments
• cooperative learning across disciplines
• ways to improve the learning experience
• measuring teacher efficacy
• peer evaluation and cooperative learning environments
