E-Services by Phone Helpful Hints

University of Houston Clear Lake (UHCL) has 3 registration (enrollment) periods: Early, Open and Late.  Early registration is by appointment only.  Students can check their appointment time using E-Services by Phone.  Open and late registration works on a first come, first serve basis.  There is a late fee for late registration.  Registration can be done over the Phone by calling 281-212-8425.  Both methods are available 24 hours a day Monday through Saturday and Sunday until 6:00 a.m. and after 2:00 p.m.  Help is available by calling 281-283-2484 from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.  During summer semester the school closes at noon on Friday.

Dial into E-Services at 281-212-UHCL or 281-212-8425
For best connection, use a touchtone telephone that is not a cellular or cordless phone
Choose Option 5 from the E-Services Main Menu to access the Registration Menu
Then Choose Option 1 to enter your Student ID number or Option 2 to enter your Social Security Number

Enter your UHCL Student ID number or Social Security Number
Enter your birth date (mmddyy) as your Pin Number
You will need to change your Pin Number to continue. (Change this to any 6 digits) Remember your new Pin Number for future accessibility.

Fee Payment Procedure 

  • Access E-Services by Phone by following the GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS on the previous page. Choose:
    • Either Option 3 from the E-Services Main Menu
    • or Option 5 from the E-Services Main Menu followed by Option 7 (during Registration times/periods)  or Option 5 (during Non-registration times/periods) from the Registration Menu           
  • Follow instructions for NEW STUDENTS or CURRENT STUDENTS on the previous page
  • Follow instructions for ALL STUDENTS on the previous page  
  • Use one of the following options to indicate which action you wish to take:

1 = Payment General Information

2 = Parking and Optional Fees

3 = Hear your account balance and pay by credit card 

  • Make a Payment by credit card using Discover, MasterCard or Visa by phone (or at the cashier’s office)
    • Payments must be made using one credit card for the entire payment
    • Enter the credit card number (followed by the # sign)
    • Enter the expiration date (mmyy)
    • Enter the last 3 digits at the back of your credit card, if prompted
    • Enter the zip code for the billing address. Address for billing must match the one given to the credit card company
    • Please hold until you receive confirmation that payment has been accepted. If the credit card payment is declined, you may repeat the process using a different credit card, pay online or pay in person on campus
    • Full payments by check may be submitted at the Drop Box
    • Short term loans and installment payments may be done through the cashier’s office or check payments submitted at the Drop Box (forms available online or at the cashier’s office)

·         Access EASE by Phone by following the GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS on the previous page. Choose:

o        Option 4 from the EASE Main Menu to access the Grades Menu

  • Follow instructions for NEW STUDENTS or CURRENT STUDENTS on the previous page
  • Follow instructions for ALL STUDENTS on the previous page  

·         Please listen carefully for prompts per semester               

Note: Grades can only be accessed per semester, up to one academic year.
