Step One - What is my WebCT User ID? What is my WebCT User ID?
Access to WebCT requires a WebCT ID (UserID) and Password (Student ID). Student accounts are created automatically for all enrolled students. If you do not know your WebCT UserID, please visit the UHCL UserID Lookup page.

In my case, my name is Azalea Boehm. Here is how I would look up my WebCT UserID:

1. Enter your last name (e.g. boehm)
2. Click the Submit button
3. Click on Your Name (e.g. Boehm, Azalea)

1. In the example below Boehm has three UserID matches. Under System, look for WCT. My WebCT UserID is boehma123.

Step Two - What is my WebCT Password? What is my WebCT Password?
All WebCT Passwords will be reset at the beginning of each semester to: p + student ID (seven digits, no spaces) (e.g., p0001234). Your student ID number is the seven digit number you were given for registration. It is not your social security number. This number can be found on the back of your UHCL Student ID card and your registration receipt.

Important note: Change your password once you have successfully logged into WebCT. Please keep a record of your new password. If you forget your password, please contact WebCT Support.

Step Three - Login to WebCT Login to WebCT
Try logging into WebCT http://courses.uhcl.edu:8900 you should see a screen similar to the image below. Click on the blue "Login to WebCT" button.

Step Four
On the Login to WebCT page, you will see a dialog box asking for your WebCT ID: (UserID) and Password: (Student ID). Filled in, it looks something like this:

Enter your WebCT ID: (UserID) and Password: (Student ID). Click on the "Log in" button.

Important note: Your WebCT UserID and Password are case sensitive, and must be entered using lower case.

Step Five
You should be presented with a myWebCT screen listing all your WebCT courses which you are enrolled.

Your myWebCT screen might look something like this:

From your myWebCT, page click the name of the course you want to access. The course Homepage appears.

Congratulation! You have logged in successfully.
